Business Development Professional (Austin Market)

The primary mission of Finlyte’s business development professional is to actively engage the local business community and to ultimately drive a successful lead gen strategy. From your first contact with a potential client, or partner referring us work, your goal is to listen and learn the needs of the company, fund sponsor, or investor, through a programmatic exploratory process, helping our delivery team carefully determine whether we can add value with Finlyte’s services – central office, ERP implementation, or capital. This is an opportunity to build from the ground up the strong reputation that Finlyte carries into the small to medium-sized business community through its unique services offering.


Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Establish Finlyte as the “partner of choice” for our clients and the clients of our strategic partners
  • Drive new client acquisition through meetings with strategic partners for referrals, attending business and networking events, and prospecting, to build a pipeline of potential clients
  • Work with your team members to develop compelling client proposals
  • Communicate with internal teams throughout the sales process, keeping all parties apprised of proposal status and content
  • Keep pipeline tracking current with relevant sales pipeline information and opportunity status updates
  • Manage the sales process, ensuring a positive experience for both clients and our delivery teams
  • Develop and execute a strategy to build new mutually beneficial strategic partner relationships where we can refer new business to one another
  • Manage the marketing & sales enablement of these strategic partners, including creating joint business plans, co-sponsoring events, driving joint go-to-market efforts, and achieving co-selling success
  • Monitor and evaluate performance & KPIs such as pipeline development and deal advancement


Required Education and Experience:

  • Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 3+ years in a similar role with a proven track record of success and desired relationships
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Innovative self-starter with demonstrated thought leadership in an individual contributor sales role
  • Experience selling professional services
  • Proven network in the Austin market for small-to-medium businesses, lenders, fund sponsors, and other active investors
  • Finance and accounting knowledge highly valued


Required Technical/ Functional Skills:

  • Proven ability to build and sustain long-term relationships with strategic partners and clients
  • Ability to successfully collaborate in a team environment, as well as independently drive business development activities and events
  • Track record of success selling solutions or services to C-level executives, high net worth investors, and/or fund sponsors
